Toxic Mold Band Wiki INSTRUCTIONS

Policy proposals (Please discuss in the comments):

A. Let's put external links in sub-pages only, not on lists.

B. Venues should be listed as separate, even if they were in the same building, if they were under different names and management.

D. I wasn't going to make special pages for venues, but I think it's a good idea. How about let's follow the established format, including making a template. I'll use the Mojo's page and make a template from it.

Writers and Editors:    Thanks for your help! If you are a WRITER you can add and edit stuff but you can't delete or rename files. This is the default setting until you learn your way around. Once you are comfortable with how this wiki works, you will probably be upgraded to EDITOR which means you can delete and rename files. Deletion and renaming can't always be fixed if they are mistakes, so be careful out there.

If you are here to PROVIDE new information or make comments or tell stories without wikifing it:

1. Create a new blank page with your name as you want to be credited as part of the title. Check the box for putting it in a folder and select the Raw Information to be Wikified folder.

2. Copy the stuff you want to say (or just type it).

3. Paste the stuff you want to say.

4. Save.

If you are here to EDIT an existing page:

1. Go to the page and click the EDIT tab. The actual pages are in Toxic Mold folder.

2. Edit. Please indicate authorship of editorial comments and stories. Example: (Editorial comment by Tiffany).

3. Save.

If you are here to ADD a band/musician/page:

1. Add your band and/or musician to the list. Put the name in alpha order, but ignore leading "the"s in the band name. For people alphabetize by first name.

2. Make a NEW page using the correct template from the drop down menu. For example, if it is a band page, there is a template called "Band Template" and all you have to do is click the circle in front of it.

3. Edit the template to include the information you want to add. There currently are templates for adding people and bands.

4. Save.

5. Go back and add links after you have added everything. To wikilink, go into edit mode, hit the link button, and then select the page to link to. If this doesn't make sense, read the manual or ask someone for help.

Notes on photos: Because this is the free version, we only have 2 gigs of storage here. Please don't add photos here; feel free to post them elsewhere and link to them. Thanks!
